A Career Horoscope for Job Hunting & Long-Term Career Planning
The Solar Eclipse in Leo will affect a different area of life for everyone, but I want to focus on career today.
In our society, moving your life forward usually means your career will change in some way. A job becomes a career. You're able to start a family because you got a promotion. Maybe you're only able to travel because your job involves traveling. etc.
A lot of the people I've read for this year are dealing with big changes in career. Maybe that says more about my transits than yours, but I figure it can't hurt to put out some astrological/divinatory advice for anyone who is considering changes to their career during this time.
"This time" referring to the next six month. All of this insight is meant to be read for your rising sign. Do not expect overnight success. Let's be practical. But if you focus on setting career intentions in the next 48 hours, you will most likely notice an impact by February 2027.
Aries Rising
Eclipse in the 5th house
If you want to change careers, it's most likely because you want to turn a creative skill into your primary source of income. Your demand for work may increase, but don't quit your current role without a plan. Identify one transferable skill or side project that can become a paid service or product. Update your public-facing materials and speak with existing clients or partners about new opportunities.
Taurus Rising

You may be considering a career change that allows remote work, a home-based business, relocation, or more stability. Update your résumé and LinkedIn profile (or similar service). Reach out to three people in your local or professional network about new opportunities. Consider building a secondary income stream through consulting, writing, or digital products. Look into remote work. If you already have a remote job, how can you optimize your home office to improve your day-to-day routine?

If you create presentations for work, make sure to save them. If your industry warrants it, put together a portfolio. If your industry doesn't produce portfolio work, then gather proof of your successes at work. The idea is to position yourself as an expert in your field.

Your career change is likely driven by the need for higher pay or better alignment with your morals/values. Stop selling yourself short! Reconsider your salary expectations. Apply for higher-paying roles, or negotiate your current salary. Set a concrete income target. Be direct about what you need from your current or new employer or business partner. Review service agreements and/or job offers very carefully. Don't let your guard down just because an opportunity arrives through someone you know.
Pisces Rising

Your career change may involve changing jobs to improve your work environment, starting a service-based business. Improve your current work process. Consider how viable it is to start a small service-based side project. If you're offered a job, try not to accept a role that repeats old work-environment problems. The key is to break toxic workplace cycles. (If you have no choice but to accept the first job that comes up because you have bills to pay, do what you need to do. But if this is the case, don't stop applying.)
Think of this eclipse as a 48-hour window for planning your next move. Where do you want to be by February? Set your intention and then take at least one concrete action to signal to the universe that you are ready to do your part in your career journey.
